Our local community radio station played a song from 1941 by the sunshine Drops called "What's a matter with Deep Ellen(?). The tune was essentially the same as Hank Williams' "Move it on over" so I am wondering which came first AND if there may have even been an earlier song from which both tunes derived.

The Deep Ellen song was dated 1941 and the date I found for Move it on over was 1947.

I couldn't find anything on the Sunshine Drops or the song, on google.

Any one familiar with any of this?
