I visited an old friend yesterday and as usual, we discussed the condition of the country. He said something I want to share and get opinions on.
The way the right wingers get and hold power is to keep the masses distracted with minor issues such as, abortion,a community center for Muslims, gay rights, etc. that keep our minds off the real problems such as unemployment, run away borrowing, the rise of China as a military power now equal to our own. They now have the technology to destroy our communication satellites making them useless in a battlefield situation. Their radar is a generation ahead of us, their military budget is the second largest in the world, and where do they get the money? FROM US!
Let's wake up to the real problems!
