The Second Amendment is a political football that is misinterpreted by Wing-nuts.
It has a loose meaning in it's language which means that you could take it literally by
forming a militia to quell foreign enemies but this is subject to a great deal of misleading
facts. The NRA doesn't care about who they claim are foreign enemies or who is a criminal.
Shoot first and ask questions later is their motto.

Gun running is a big business in the U.S. Selling weaponry for both sides of countries
engaged in wars is bolstering the Military Industrial Complex. The IRA is tied into this
idea by promoting an indiscriminate use of guns to solve problems.

You have auto licenses that are administered by state governments which require that
you have to be able to drive responisbly. There are no real regulations for this for gun owners. Gun owners need to be licensed in the same way as drivers. The ones that scream loudest that their guns will be taken away by the government probably shouldn't have them in the first place. (Post office killings and shooting abortion doctors are a case in point).

Also, gun owners can have their weapons stolen by professional criminals quite easily.
It happens all the time. Some gun-toters are macho enough to think they can compete in a gun battle with professional killers.

2nd Amendment Remedies are a form of intimidation and threats against those on the Left.   What if the tables were turned? (Cliche of the year: ah'm jus' sayin')
