The fires were caused by the initial demolition of the two towers. The fire supression system didn't have the capacity to extinguish the fires due to the load on the water system (that fact is kinda up in the air, but I doubt the building could have been built with inadequate standpipe pumps). The building failed by reduced load bearing capacity of structural elements on the 13th floor. Read the documented evidence. Really... READ it. Don't listen to someone who says THEY read it and want your money to find out the truth.
