The funniest thing about the pants of today is what the boys are doing with them (If you see tight or fitted pants on some body, you know that it's a girl). But the boys- it is to laugh.

I'm the 'lunch lady' at two schools and it's right next to the high school. Every day while I'm waiting for the bus I watch the boys walking spraddle-legged by, just to keep their pants from falling below a certain level. From time to time they reach down and hike them back up. If they want to speed up to a trot, with one hand they hold onto the pants.

I have sometimes wondered whether a boy pees over the waistband or does he hike them up so he can reach the zipper?

Now some of these boys are into sports- can you imagine a basketball player having to hold onto his silks with one hand while galloping up the floor? Or a football (American) player having to worry about whether a tackle will bring everything to disaster?

Is this just an American thing? Or are other countries' kids just as funny?
