Camp New Harmony is very similar to the Getaway of the Folklore Society of Greater Washington, except that Harmony is more relaxed because we run 6 days. We have a number of annual rituals that are quite popular, most notably the John Barleycorn Christmas Ale tasting session, followed by rowdy and raucous Pub Songs and Sea Songs. This always seems to happen on Shabbat, and the more religious of us skip the beer songs and share Shabbat songs (and Challa and wine) from various traditions.

It's a very enjoyable gathering, a good way to get rid of your post-Christmas depression.
