A sudden flurry of activity in the Lineup campsite, with a rapid change from muggy and hot, but calm, to sustained winds of about 35 mph with a few gusts that I would guesstimate at near 45 or 50 mph. It's still muggy, but suddenly about 10F cooler.

Since there are only a few people actually in the camp now, only about a half dozen canopies had to be furled in haste; but handling 100 square feet of canvas in a brisk (and gusty) wind isn't a "practiced art" among some of us. Those of us who could got ours stowed and then ran to rescue those holding on to the end they unhooked first - who couldn't let go of the loose end to go work the other end without losing it all.

No visible major property damage or injuries requiring med-evac, and large canvas spans have mostly disappeared.

Our radio hasn't given a weather report for a while, but a neighbor who had a "weather radio" on says the wind is forecast to last several hours, with "scattered heavy rain." We don't see visible indications of rain coming, but that can change pretty quickly.

The river here is about as low as I've seen it (officially 1.7 ft yesterday) with no rise from the most recent rain.
