Wal, My '80 Plymouth Champ, of course. Hatchback. Stick shift, 7 gears - no 'overdrive', more like an underdrive. I used to say that I could climb a wall with that car. The least gas mileage I ever got was 36 miles to the gallon and regularly got 42. It was small but just the right size for me and a passenger although I have hauled 4 people and our luggage over the Cascades- that's when I got just 36 miles ttg.

I brought it to Alaska and quickly decided that since I was going to be living downtown I would use public transport instead and besides it had 103,000 miles on the engine. Plus the parking situation in Juneau was horrendous. So I sold it. For a couple of years I saw it from time to time but not for a long time now.

I still miss it. I haven't owned a car since. 22 years ago.
