News for all folkies in and around Sheffield. As you may have seen in 'Stirrings', we have the brilliant John Kirkpatrick appearing at Kiveton Park Folk Club on Tuesday 14th September. Its not a big club room, so seating is limited and all our members will be present. That leaves about 10 spare seats available for non-members/ visitors.
I don't want folks wasting their time turning up and being refused entry because the house is full. So, the best thing to do if you would like a seat for your bum, is to ring Andy on 0114 2879592 and book one in advance. No need for any cash to change hands now, just pay on the door when you arrive. It will be £8 entry. It has to be on a 'first-come' basis and once the maximum is reached the book will be closed.
A great night is promised from this highly respected guy who has a great repertoire of songs and an unmatched musical talent. There's free grub in the break, free tea and coffee for non-boozers and a warm friendly crowd. So, if you fancy a good night out with JK and the Kiveton lot, get on the blower quick!
