Sorrowful news indeed; though his illness was no secret, news of his passing is still a shock.

I always enjoyed Rowan's company when our paths crossed, and shared many conversations and concertina tunes with him over the years.

I'm sure his many contributions to the Australian folk scene (and to Mudcat) will be long remembered.

RIP, Rowan, and deepest sympathy to your family.
