Your ipod can connect to any device with a microphone-in socket. If you need an adapter for older sizes, Radio Shack has them. If your car has a cassette slot, there's an adapter for that. Otherwise in cars, you're stuck with an FM broadcaster thingie that hopefully won't conflict with local NPR stations. If you're taking a long car trip, you can get a charger that fits into the cigarette lighter socket.

There are some rules for transferring music, especially music you buy from the Itunes store. They can only be copied to disc a limited number of times (I think I was told it's 7 times). Audio books from Audible.com are also blocked - get a program to transfer Itunes or Audible books to mp3s and the problems go away.

I'm not sure how Itunes for Windows looks and acts, as I'm on a Mac, but if I want to make a CD I have to remember that Itunes only shows the "Burn CD" button for playlists. You can't just pick an album from the Music file and burn it. You have to make it a playlist first.

On a Mac, simply clicking on a music file will load it into Itunes. I'm not sure that happens with Windows.
