Its not the more common version I'm after...

In Micho Russel - Ireland Whistling Ambassador album there is a track for Napoleon Crossing the Rhine played on the tin whistle. In opening comments, Micho talks about a sung version he once heard and sings a fragment. I could´nt understand more than a few words:

"... sitting by the turf fire and the turf fire burning bright
soon the fire began to fade and shadows on me flew..."

Does anybody know the rest of the lyrics or anything at all about this song?
