have you made the suggestion to the committee? they mostly don't read mudcat. I only started reading it last year when I was looking for photos of faversham and found some abusive name calling.

A tip I picked up from the caravan and camping club was to have the key person ( lead musician) in the evening dance miked up but to have a whole group of other musicians permitted to play in the background. This may not result in the best band ever but usually they do ok, tends to encourage novice musicians, and for many its a good chance to play with better players. I think this would be a good idea for Broadstairs.
