My fiance was singing this when we were up in Ramsbottom last week for the annual black pudding throwing festival. He sang "all of a sudden the Bury Black Pudding came flying through the air, it missed my mother and hit my brother and knocked him off his chair" or something like that. He only sang that bit of the song which he recalled from his youth being born and raised in the area.
