I have communed with with my gramps and other forefathers as well as seeking the sage advice of some of my still living Native Peoples brothers (well, I saw Jim One Feather and his bro at the beer store yesterday) regarding the sudden onset of fall.

I had predicted the last four years of seasonal weather here almost to a tee and I also predicted, three months ago, an early, but long and dry fall this year with early snowfall but moderate snow until close to the winter equalknocks. Then, Mom Nature is gonna knock us good here in The Merrytimes with a rather nasty winter.

Or not. Depends eh?

As for the glow at dusk, it is dusk now and I only have a slight glow on. But, there is a beautiful reddish pink glow to the west as the sun illuminates the undeside of the cloud cover... or maybe that's a reflection off of A and/or Rap.
