That real-estate listing should reveal the acreage. I visited once (sometime in '06, while on Katrina evacucation) and was pretty impressed at the size of the spread; they seemed to own the whole top of a mountain. Well, a hill, anyway.

Bobert was still in the midst of a lot of interior renovation at the time. Now that the place is all fixed up (I assume), too bad they feel the need to leave.

The location is pretty remote, though, so I can understand P-Vine's concerns. I thought I was going to exit the interstate at Luray and find my way to the homestead in 15-20 minutes, but NO! By the time I finally arrived, I was already nervous about getting back on the road (from exile in New Jersey to visit and start work on my damaged home in New Orleans), and didn't enjoy the visit as much as I should have.
