I sat in a TV room on a camp site in Sligo with 2 German cyclists and watched the ceremony.... I wasn't going to ... but I did.... and it looked great...

seems a bit odd... coming all the way to Ireland to avoid the games only to sit over here and watch.....

I never thought I'd say that Julie Anthony brought a lump to my throat... but she sang the national anthem and Ryan (my 6 year old ) sang along..... it was very moving.....

I liked the olympic flame too...... imagine the panic if it had stuck lower down with Cathy Freeman in the middle of it.......
