hi I just stumbled on your thread. My gpa was Neponuceno Valenzuela. He was an avid horseman. He used to bronco bust in Mexico in his early 20's. He was the rider of Moro and never liked to speak of this race. I guess its because according to my father a lot of people believed it was a fixed race. According to my father his brothers and he had to get out of town asap! Its was a family joke that made him furious. Interesting note is "Cheno" is uncle to the american jockeys Ismael, Angel and Patrick Valenzuela. So who knows? All I know is I would have LOVED to be there!
