Think of a compass *rose* - not the one that draws circles nor the one that points the way.

This shows not just Are you Left vs. Right but are you for or against authority as an independent dimension. Very interesting, you get a circle going from Gandhi to Stalin to Hitler to Thatcher to Friedman and back to Gandhi...
