Google Chrome just seems to me to be some sort of solution looking for a problem. Why do we need ten trillion different browsers and eleventy million different anti-virus programmes and a zillion different office suites anyway? To answer my own question it's probably why need a quadrillion different brands of soap - competition in the 'free market' (f**k the free market!).
