Yesterday was beautiful and warm, today was cloudy, cool and humid. After looking at the weather forecast for the next fortnight I realized today would be the last opportunity to do any painting/staining this year as the temperatures from now on will be too low for anything to dry. That motivated me to repaint my weathered white trellis with brown stain. I'd like to use it near the house through the winter as base for a bird feeder and possible also a bird bath. I'm hoping that it will be high enough to provide the birds and squirrels with a safe place where my neighbours' cat can't reach them.

There is still so much I'll need to do before we hit the road again on Friday. It's difficult to get motivated and find the energy to do anything.
