The Deteriorata is from the National Lampoon's first record, Radio Dinner. Calling it the realist's version is not realistic: cynic's version is closer to the truth. The recording used "You are a fluke of the universe. You have no right to be here" as a refrain.

Has anyone waded through the Dumbentia parody site mentioned above to see if the Deteriorata is in it? If it's not available there, I might be persuaded to put the LP on the turntable and report back with the lyrics.
