My school roommate from the 1961-1962 year married a schoolmate. They are the only people from those school days that I kept in touch with and got together with occasionally. They settled in Michigan, I settled in Chicago. In the summer of '82, I dropped over on vacation to visit them for a couple of dqys. He knew he had a prior commitment one evening, so I arrived to find that he had "set me up" for that evening. She put something in the crock pot, then forgot to plug it in. We ate together with her next door neighbors, who were grilling. Then a stupid movie at the little local theater, and a round of miniature golf. Then I hesitantly tried for a little kiss, and received a very big warm kiss.
