Looks like I will be officially out of here on 22nd October (they want to exchange contracts on Friday). In fact, if I can, I want to get the furnishings out and away on 19th or 20th, which gives me a day or two to clean up and drop off the keys. Then I will be able to relax and enjoy the Musicport Festival in Bridlington from 22-24 October. The cat will go into the cattery a day before the removers come, and he can stay there until after I am safely in my new place, when I will come down and fetch him up there.

The YMCA are collecting the sideboard and chair next Monday, and I will arrange to get the new sofa delivered sometime that week too. I hope to have some idea later this week as to a likely completion date at the northern end. It's all moving very fast! I would like to get up into the new place a day or two before the furniture arrives, so that I can start to organise plumbers etc. I must just make sure the removers leave me a sleeping bag, airbed and kettle! There's several places to eat in Belford, plus a fish and chip shop and a supermarket, so I won't starve!
