Many of us drank Red Barrel because we did not know that the alternative real ale was available. Be honest the drink before that was lager and lime now that was yuk.
I should have known better I went to school and worked near to Youngs Brewery at Wandsworth and regularly saw the lovely teams of Black horses that delivered their beer around London. The girls that used to work there met in a cafe on the corner of Garratt Lane SW18 ,some characters there.
