(((Alice))) Been there. It is sad and joyous, isn't it?

The haul of canned good is now in the house and sorted. It was quite easy to allocate it; bandfriend Ed took home quite a bit and word was passed about the rest of it; he had stopped by to meet Adrian because if Adrian is ever sched to be here one day and I can't be, Ed will let him in and help find tools, manage dogs, etc.

I'm keeping mostly meal-in-a-can stuff for travel and home-office worktime. Some of it is hot chilies Hardi will enjoy to spice up his boring diabetic diet, and canned fruit. TBTG Pat's diet was a lot like ours-- all that fruit is packed in juice, not syrup.

I hain't added up the lowball cost of it all, but a good portion of it will go to the church as a donation towards my ministry-ed expenses. For now it's at least listed.

The part I kept, it turns out, neatly fits in the spaces cleared last week. The part going to the church is all sorted, inventoried, neatly packaged, and will sit in cool storage in the church bsmt till needed.
