Well - I started to say - and then forgot to type:

Something that floored me was the number of people who welcomed me back; and many of them not Mudcatters - or if they are I'm not connecting names with mudcat handles

Getaway for me is family reunion AND a welcome merging of many portions of my life; my knitting, mudcat, ren-faire, singing, FSGW (even though I haven't officially joined) and some other facets of life all blending into this amalgam that just can't be beat!

Another thing that hit me this year - probably because I have had a couple years away; the number of people who complained to me that I wasn't singing enough in the workshops and sing-arounds. Maybe next year I should take advantage of that slot for the "do it yourself workshop"

Yes Janet - there are actually other people who chide me for not singing often enough.

Then there is the encouragment that yes, "pro's" and amateurs with far more experience then I; have some of the same problems.

But most of all - it's being able to wallow in a total surround sound landscape of talent and musicianship that nearly overwhelms.
