I think I can explain the one from the W list. The list itself does not provide a direct link to a song but performs a search on the DT database based on that title. In this instance, the link says:http://www.mudcat.org/!!-supersearch99.cfm?MaxHits=1&Command=search&NumLines=4&file=fall99&request=%5BWHEN+THE+
and the EVENING + STAR + WENT + DOWN is missing. This results in a search for every song in the DT with the words "When" and "The" in it. Not surprisingly, the fisrt song title which contains these 2 words starts with the letter A. If you carried on through the next page option at the top it would get to When the evening Star Went Down.
I am not sure why it was built this way (possibly to cater for variations in title) but it can produce some interesting results. A good one is "Grandfather's Clock", this correctly searches for GRANDFATER'S + CLOCK but unfortunately there is another entry in the DB that contains the note "To the tune of Grandfather's Clock" and this is the first song displayed. The song is called "My Grandfather's Cock".
