Thread Name: Where the heck is our blues people
Subject: RE: Where the heck is our blues people
Dan, as I indicated in my prvious comment, I don't think that your title, or Little Hawk's use of dialect in his first comment (and in his newly composed Blues song which I read after posting my comment) was for ill will. While I'm aware that that dialect may be used (or at least is/was said to be used) by non-Black people in the USA it is generally considered to exemplify an old form of African American dialectic English.

I'm aware of the numerous interesting and informative Mudcat archives, and I'd like other people-including other People of Color- to be aware of the rich informational resources found in many Mudcat Blues threads, and in many other Mudcat threads. My previous comment was directed more to people who might casually come across this Blues thread and might be turned off by the dialectic languaging than it was directed to those Mudcatters who will read this thread.

I have chosen to post on Mudcat as a guest only sporadically, if at all again. But I still wish you and other Mudcatters well.
