It was a close call, keeping the kitchen picked up enough to keep it clean, after we got all that caned food from Pat & Brian. The last of what we are keeping has now been put away and the rest of the kitchen is still cleanable, TBTG, YAY!

I just declined storing 3 times as much roma tomatoes/swiss chard as we could possibly freeze/actually use, and passed the overflow it on to a friend who appreciated it enough to pick it up. Gave him the pruned basil leaves (and brought in the summer porch-plants for the west-drenched, winter windowsill, too. We do not need to "hoard" food, YAY!

The week's local ad-paper ads reflect some of the appliances they left with us-- a great help in pricing an ad to run Monday-- since we have checked around and no one in need has claimed them. If they do not sell promptly (we're taking best offers), I'll FreeCycle 'em before winter makes the driveway impassable for pickup. That washing machine does not even get onto my porch until it has a new owner's name on it, YAY!
