James 'Kokomo' Arnold recorded Old Original Kokomo Blues (He took the name from a brand of coffee) in Sept. 1934 in Chicago.

Also Freddie Spruell recorded 'Mister Freddie's Kokomo Blues' in Chicago in April 1935.
