Just got back from a festival in a little town in Kansas (Walnut Valley Festival, Winfield, Kansas). It is four days of nonstop acoustic music, and IMHO, one of the great festivals of this country. Now, guess who the hit of the whole thing was?? TOMMY EMMANUEL. What a fantastic player!!! There are four stages going at the same time, and whenever he played, all the other stages were empty. He has been invited back next year, and it sounds like he wants to come here again.

My questions to Oz folks: How come you've kept him to yourself for so long??? How many other's are you hiding?? He has a great website, but the first sentence is "Welcome to the official web site dedicated to arguably the world's greatest guitarist." WRONG!! There is NO argument! The website says his brother Phil is a great guitarist, too. Does he play in the same style? Do they ever tour together?

I tried to buy a CD from him at the festival, but the lines were over an hour and a half long. Any suggestions of two or three of what you folks consider his best?
