As this discussion is about poor performance in folk it's worth noting that on the four occasions I've witnessed the Bellowhead "spectacle", the tempos of tunes have differed widely from gig to gig and even altered during individual songs and tunes. Surely the role of the drummer should be fundamentally that of a metronome.......?
