I must admit that I assumed that a lot of the over-the-top rudeness was intended as humorous/ironic rather than genuine. I think that, for a lot of people, this is a joke thread.

Try and realise that Catherine Foster (or, at least, this one) does not exist. Her post was a wind up and too many people have fallen for it. Quite a lot of the other one-off GUEST postings are probably the same person.
