If you are able & willing to travel a few miles, the Marlow Bottom Acoustic meet in a venue near Marlow every Wednesday ; last night we were at "The Prince Albert" in Frieth, where we may (hope so !) have "recruited" an American lady fiddle-player, and next week we'll all be at "The Dog & Badger" in Medmenham, halfway between Marlow & Henley.Be prepared for Traditional unaccompanied ballads, Irish tune medleys, and contemporary numbers ( last night included Richard Thompson, Dougie McClean, The White Stipes & Paul Simon, et al ); there is /are always opportunities to "join in" on guitar, harmonica, mandolin, cajon, bhodran, oeufs tremblants, melodedon, concertina, flageolet ; but not, sadly,as yet any fiddle or banjo players !!
