Ruth has AT LAST de-cluttered her life out of the house, except for several items which will go for the collection tomorrow. I think there will be 4 or 5 sacks on the drive! I also have an absolute mountain of clothes hangers to ditch! I kept all Ian's, and now Ruth has left all hers behind!

I need to pack what clothes I anticipate I am going to need for the next few weeks. This isn't as easy as it sounds, because we are at a turning point in the weather.
The cat is going to get de-cluttered into the cattery tomorrow, for the duration, and Eleanor is coming round this afternoon to help me sort some more stuff, and also help me get stuff over to her place.
Shortly I am going to get the steam cleaner cranked up and clean my garden tools. Most of them won't see much use for a while.

It's all getting a bit real now. I was up in Belford yesterday, and actually managed to meet a couple of my neighbours. The natives appear friendly! One of them has been a key holder for the house, so he let me borrow the keys, and I managed to get a look for only the third time, and also show the friends who were with me. They agreed that from the outside it looks nothing, but is like a tardis! The gas fire in the kitchen isn't as dreadful as I first thought, but it is still by no means ideal, especially as at some point I will have a toddler running round.

Hey ho. Coffee finished. Time to think about steam cleaning.
