The fact is if you tell people they cannot take care of themselves, that's what they believe.

If you tell them some bad guy is responsible for their woes, they tend to believe it.

If you tell them I will fight those bad guys because you are incapable of running your own life, they believe it and follow you.

So which is better people running their own lives or people believing they can't?

Quit wallowing in victimhood.

There is nothing in that bill to reduce health care costs. The lobbyists that wrote it made sure. Now premiums are going up to cover whatever extra benefits it provides.
