The temporary fix was to delete all cookies and temporary files, lower the security level, close the browser and open it up again. This didn't last long. I'm thinking it's the ISP, which is the phone company, my alma mater.

I switched to DSL from dial-up a few years ago and it was very fast for awhile but has steadily degraded. Now they want me to switch my cable and internet to u-verse so that can degrade too? By telling me that it's so much faster? Meaning that they can pump more ads onto every screen a bit faster before the next technology comes along to degrade u-verse.
