I think I picked one up on a music shop a few years ago to compare with a "Turser" (if I remember correctly) and it was cheap and cheerful, not disastrous but without any great merit. However guitars from funny places have come on a lot recently. I think the only real advice is to "taste and try before you buy". I have played an "Indie" (from Indonesia)that sounded fantastic for the price, for example.
