I have just read in the Isle of Wight (UK) County Press that former Island singer, hunourist and politician Lauri Say has died. Many Islanders, like myself, will remember Lauri from the 1960s and 1970s for his wonderful and often hilarious songs - many about the Isle of Wight. They are still popular and sung today.
