I am so glad I came across this site as it brings back many happy memories of my time in Dublin. We used to go to a ( non alcoholic) ballad session every wedensday night in a club near the Four Courts. it would have been in the very early sixties aprox 1961. Many of the big ballad names of that period got there start there. I especially remember Maeve and tommy Makem who were great hits at that time.
