Dave and Helen Parsons, from the Cardiff commuting village of Dinas Powys, are the salt of the earth and absolute pillars of the RUFF ceilidhs Dave (who advertises in the folk magazine Taplas as "Arguably the best caller in Wales") has been expertly calling for years and years. In fact, when I moved from the Swansea Valley in 1977 and settled in Llantrisant, the RUFF ceilidhs were well-established. And they STILL sell real ale, too!
