I was a bit of a tomboy back then anyway and the idea of wearing pink filled me with horror. My mother did her best to kit me out in pink and ribbons but it was a loosing battle.

As for dancing I was more interested in Hot Gossip on the Kenny Everett Show but only to wind up Mary Whithouse!
