Well Noreen, my playing is pretty ropey now compared to what it was like about 2 years ago (I just don't get out enough or practice enough) but I agree with your thought about playing for dancing - it really does help you devolop a feel and enforces a discipline at the same time. I have even read suggestions that a player should also learn to dance but I wouldn't go that far.
