I wouldn't worry too much about this. I have mentioned early in this thread that I am one of a small minority of people who have genetic ( familial) cholesterol.

With this; diet really has no effect upon our cholesterol levels. We can eat nothing but lettuce for 12 months with no effect !! So statins for us are a must.

However you are right, we do follow a good diet and an active lifestyle. This helps keep other problems like diabetes, heart and stroke problems and not to mention arthritis at bay.

Of course if we relax our diet for any period of time although we don't increase our cholesterol we put on weight which is just as bad for you as high cholesterol.

You can't win !! lol
