I wish my hands could touch you, perhaps tease
A little, and then all of desires please.
If love is just a dream, then let us sleep
Forever, my arms around you, and keep
The fire of your heart inside of my verse:
Would that I could hold you, instead of terse
Messages: I could read in your eyes more
Than words might say, and let my passions soar.

I offer you far more than dreams, as much
As I might have, but know only words touch
Across this distance. In heart, I regret
That Time allows no more than verse to set
