Can any words on page tell what I've found?
The thought of you gives me my verse, and dreams
That find me in the night. I wait for sound,
Not spoken, to inspire: The silence seems
To be but voices, out of reach. I try
To place feelings on page, but do not know
If you hear my desire. I know not why,
Or how, but thought of you holds me, as though
Heart has no choice. Yet, shall I dare, to care
When you've other concerns? I cannot reach
To that part of you that might feelings share.
Is there no hope to lend presence and speech?
Heart does not allow choice: You bring the light,
No matter if you remain beyond sight.
