I am not a citizen I am a green card holder and I am eligible to contribute directly to candidates, like any other legal resident. I pay US taxes I don't see a problem with that. By the way. That is not foreign money by any sane stretch of the imagination. It is US dollars earned in the US and spent in the US. I certainly would think that if I were in a union, my dues could and would be used and spent the same way.
