Yes, ignoring all contact with officialdom is possible, but the number of security goons around Liverpool 1 was easily enough to have subdued even the 20-odd of us in seconds, if they'd been so inclined. Better to do the necssary stuff beforehand to ensure that they leave you alone/ are expecting you.
