Just as Fred predicted these three provided one helluva night in Liverpool with musical pyrotechnics that far outshone the fireworks displays on offer outside for Bonfire Night. Coming from three very different traditions they shared their musical friendship in a way that was a joy to witness. The venue added a lovely warm resonance to the sound they produced, and I'd swear that at least one of the plaster caryatids joined in the applause that they deservedly received at the end of the concert!
Ale bent and swayed as he played as if held on invisible strings, Bruce displayed a loose-limbed grace, while Aly remained a solid presence in the middle as he coaxed lovely tunes from his fiddle.
If you get a chance to see and hear this trio them go for it - you'll be in for a treat!
